No matter what they are called, these good bacteria should be present in the billions in the intestinal tract and are responsible for keeping the digestive system working property. They help break down food and other substances, making digested nutrients more available for absorption. In an unhealthy digestive system or one that has been compromised by some medications, specific health problems and even travel or stress, many of these beneficial intestinal bacteria have been destroyed. This can result in the proliferation of “bad bacteria.” Such an imbalance can cause decreased absorption of food and nutrients, the growth of potentially toxic, harmful bacteria, sluggishness, and other digestive problems.*

Flora Grow^® is formulated primarily of bifidobacterium balanced with several species of lactobacilli.
