Cayenne
There are many items a person can add to their diet for better overall health, and cayenne is just one item to consider. This hot pepper is a common ingredient in some spicy dishes, and anyone that eats a lot of it will attest to the fact that it does bring about a reaction in the body! A person's heart rate typically increases and they may notice that their sinuses clear while their eyes well up. One of the main reasons for this reaction when someone eats cayenne or another type of pepper is an ingredient called capsaicin; this is what gives peppers their heat. The hotter the pepper, the more capsaicin it contains. This ingredient produces this heat which in turn means the body responds accordingly. This heat will clear mucus from the sinuses and the eyes tear up to keep themselves cool. Eating cayenne has other benefits and some of these benefits have been noticed for centuries. Heat means energy and energy in the body means an increased heart rate. Eating cayenne is much like sitting in a sauna; the heart rate increases due to this increase in energy. This can mean healing for the body in many ways. When you eat cayenne and increase the heart rate, you are speeding up your metabolism. This means burning calories more efficiently which in turn means more control over your body weight. An increase in circulation can mean additional healing and overall health, after eating cayenne. Blood delivers vital nutrients to all parts of the body; cells are fed by the blood and oxygen is delivered to the body's cells via blood. All this means that the body is repairing itself more often. Eating cayenne therefore means an increase in blood circulation and an increase in this healing process. It can also mean a stronger heart since the increase in heart rate is like exercise for the heart. Many also report help with digestive issues when eating cayenne. That blood delivered by the circulatory system also assists the digestive system and this can mean better digestion and less stomach irritation and upset. Eating cayenne sparks the digestive process and encourages the colon to work more efficiently, which means moving waste through the system and less constipation and other digestive disorders. The stomach is also going to work more effectively as it produces more secretions in order to digest the cayenne; this in turn means more efficient digestion of other foodstuffs in the stomach as well. When looking to add cayenne to your diet, be cautious about just eating raw peppers. As beneficial as they are, you can over-stimulate your stomach and irritate your colon with too much. Instead, try adding some cayenne pepper to your diet in certain dishes. When you are read to try the peppers themselves, do so sparingly in just a few items. Listen to your body and if this upsets your stomach or you feel too much of a burning sensation, cut back on it use.
