Alkaline Forming Foods Vs. Acid Forming Foods

It's important to keep our bodies in proper ph balance, and the foods we eat contribute to that balance. The two lists below are basic guidelines as to the two categories of food: alkaline and acidic.

List of Alkaline Forming Foods - We recommend these foods while cleansing

All fresh vegetables Herbal Teas 
All vegetables Honey
All salad greens Lemons
All sprouts Lima Beans
Almonds & sunflower seeds, soaked Maple Syrup, organic
Apple cider vinegar Melons (eat with other melons only)
Berries, fresh Millet
Corn on the cob, fresh Molasses
Dates Potatoes
Dried fruit, unsulphured Quinoa
Fresh or dried seasoning herbs Raisins
Fresh, raw fruit juice Raw, organic olive or flaxseed oil
Fresh, raw vegetable juice Sauerkraut, unsalted
Garlic Sea vegetables, well rinsed
Goat Whey Vegetable broth
Grapefruit Vegetable soups

List of Acid Forming Foods -  We recommend you avoid these foods while cleansing

 Alcohol  Meat, fish, birds, shellfish
 Barley  Oatmeal
 Black pepper  Pasta
 Bread (baked)  Popcorn
 Canned fruits & vegetables  Preservatives
 Cake  Processed foods
 Cereals (all)  Salt
 Chocolate  Soda crackers
 Coffee  Soft drinks
 Dairy  Sugar, white & processed
 Eggs  Sweeteners, artificial
 Foods cooked with oils  Tea (except caffeine-free)
 Grains (except millet & quinoa)  Vinegar, distilled
 Legumes  Wheat, all forms
